“Everything is Awesome, everything is cool when you’re part of a team.”
LEGO® Therapy is child-led collaborative group play therapy that builds on a child’s interest in construction play and actively fosters children’s willingness to collaborate and interact with one another.
Through LEGO® Based Therapy, children learn to communicate, express their feelings, learn various ways of relating to others, modify their behaviour and develop problem-solving skills.
The LEGO® System is a highly organised, systematic and predictable toy, therefore highly motivating for children as the unpredictable and ever-changing concepts that occur during other types of free play do not exist. This very nature of the LEGO® building system allows children to feel calm, regulated and engaged.
LEGO Therapy is used to support children who experience a range of communication and social developmental challenges and is proven to be an effective therapy intervention for both Autistic children and children with other neurodevelopmental conditions and children who experience and / or are diagnosed with Anxiety disorders, Phobias, Adjustment disorders, ADHD and Depression.
