Sangeetha is an AHPRA-registered Provisional Psychologist and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI). She is passionate about supporting children and young people to improve their psychosocial wellbeing and thrive across different areas of life.
Sangeetha adopts a strengths-based approach, offering personalised therapeutic support tailored to each child’s unique needs. She holds a PhD focused on improving psychosocial outcomes for children with chronic illness using play therapy modalities, reflecting her strong commitment to evidence-based and developmentally appropriate care.
She is trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and primarily draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Child-centred Play Therapy (CCPT) techniques to support clients in reaching their full potential.
Sangeetha brings a diverse professional background in research and teaching, equipping her with a broad skill set that informs her clinical practice. She is dedicated to ongoing professional development and applies her knowledge to create a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive environment where clients feel supported to embrace their authentic selves.
She has experience working with neurodivergent individuals and supporting a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and trauma.
Sangeetha also has a strong interest in working with individuals managing chronic health conditions, with a focus on behaviour change, mindset, and building sustainable, long-term health habits.
