Kush Narang is a dedicated Mental Health Counsellor, Play Therapist, and LEGO® Based Therapy Group Facilitator with extensive experience supporting children, teenagers, and adults through a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges. He brings a compassionate, client-centred approach to therapy, creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Kush is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA), and Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA). His professional experience includes working extensively with children and young people through Child-Centred Play Therapy and LEGO® Based Therapy, as well as providing counselling support to teenagers and adults.
Kush has experience supporting clients experiencing trauma and PTSD, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural challenges, social difficulties, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and challenging life experiences. He works collaboratively with each client, tailoring his therapeutic approach to their individual needs, developmental stage, strengths, and goals.
As a Play Therapist, Kush understands that children often communicate their emotions, experiences, and inner worlds through play when they may not yet have the words to express them. Through Child-Centred Play Therapy, he provides a safe and nurturing therapeutic space where children can explore emotions, develop self-expression, build resilience, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop greater confidence.
Kush is also a LEGO® Based Therapy Facilitator, using structured LEGO®-based group activities to encourage communication, cooperation, social interaction, problem-solving, confidence, and emotional development. These engaging activities provide children and young people with opportunities to develop important social and emotional skills while participating in a supportive and enjoyable therapeutic environment.
Whether supporting a child through play, helping a teenager navigate emotional or social challenges, or providing counselling to an adult experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or other life difficulties, Kush is committed to building a trusting therapeutic relationship and supporting each person towards greater emotional wellbeing, resilience, confidence, and positive change.
Certified as a Lego Based Therapy Facilitator and a Play Therapist, Kush is a member of prestigious organisations such as the Australian Play Therapy Association (APTA), Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and Australian Community Service Workers Association (ACWA).
At Tidda Counselling, Kush serves as a Play Therapist, Counsellor, and Lego Group Facilitator. His expertise extends to leading group therapy sessions focused on various aspects such as anxiety, self-esteem, social skills, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills. Kush is also adept at applying Lego-based therapy to encourage cognitive development and teamwork in therapeutic settings.
