Pema Choki brings warmth, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping children thrive. Originally from Bhutan, she is currently completing her Master’s degree in Social Work in Australia and has a strong background in health and community care.
Pema is passionate about supporting children to build confidence in their social skills and strengthen their executive functioning abilities, such as planning, organisation, and emotional regulation. These skills are vital for learning, making friends, and developing independence. In her role as a Group Facilitator, she creates a safe and engaging space where children feel encouraged to connect with others, explore new ways of thinking, and grow through shared activities.
She has also completed training in Trauma-Informed Care and Sensory Integration, which helps her understand the close connection between the brain and behaviour. By working with children’s sensory needs, she helps them regulate their emotions, manage daily challenges, and feel more confident in their learning and relationships.
Families often describe Pema as gentle, supportive, and encouraging. She brings together professional knowledge with genuine empathy, making her a trusted guide for children as they develop the skills they need to feel successful at home, at school, and in their wider community.
